MarkIOY is designed to keep your documents under your control. This policy explains how the MarkIOY apps and website handle information.
MarkIOY does not require an account. Your Markdown documents, workspace choices, recent-file references, and exports remain on your device or in the file provider you choose, such as iCloud Drive. MarkIOY does not collect this content for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
If you choose to use Image to Markdown, the image area you select is sent over a secure connection to the MarkIOY conversion service so that it can return Markdown. This is an optional feature initiated by you. The conversion service does not store the image and does not retain image-conversion logs. Image data is used only to provide the requested conversion and is not used for advertising, tracking, or to build a profile about you.
PDF to Markdown reads the PDF locally on your device. The original PDF is never uploaded. Only selected complex pages are rendered locally and sent as temporary images over a secure connection for recognition; simple text pages remain on your device. Selected page images are not stored or retained in conversion logs.
The MarkIOY apps do not use your information to track you across apps or websites, and they do not sell your personal information.
The MarkIOY website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic. Google may process standard browser, device, and usage information as described in its own privacy policy. This website analytics does not apply to the MarkIOY native apps.
If you choose Google sign-in, MarkIOY verifies the Google ID token and keeps only a signed, HttpOnly browser session for up to eight hours. We do not create an account, store your profile, or save your documents on our servers. Your name and email are held only inside that encrypted session cookie so the interface can show that you are signed in; signing out removes it.
